Airfield Services Officer

A Day in the life of...

Airfield Services Officers (ASO) ensure the safe and efficient operation of aircraft and airport partners working airside. 

Their primary functions include monitoring and reporting on the serviceability of aprons, taxiways, and the runway, enforcing airport standards, and assisting in monitoring wildlife and airside works activities.  

Entry Requirements

  • 2-3 years as an Aerodrome Reporting Officer preferred, or previous experience working in an airport environment 
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 
  • Aeronautical Radio Operators Certificate 
  • Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) 
  • NSW Drivers License and ability to obtain an Airside Driving Authority 
  • Senior First Aid Certificate 
  • NSW General Construction Induction White Card
