Baggage Operations Coordinator
A Day in the life of...
A Baggage Operations Coordinator (BOC) is a shift work role that provides 24/7 coverage, ensuring WSI’s baggage operations run safely and efficiently without affecting the on-time departure of aircraft.
The BOC oversees the planning and allocation of baggage system resources by the BHS Operations and maintenance contractor, making necessary adjustments as required.
Entry Requirements
- 3-5 years previous experience in either warehouse distribution systems coordination, parcel freight sortation systems control or airport baggage systems operations
- Highly effective planning skills
- Focus and safe and efficient work methods
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and the ability to foresee potential issues
- The ability to apply lessons learned from previous incidents and effectively apply improvements to operations to minimise the impact of incident reoccurrence
- Data analysis and data model interrogation skills to identify trends, inefficiencies and opportunities for operational improvement
- Experience working with complex computer systems and ability to learn new systems
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong working relationships
- NSW Drivers Licence and ability to obtain an Authority to Drive Airside (ADA)
- Ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)
- Senior First Aid Certificate
