Introducing Hassan Qureshi: Founder of MyClerk

By: Mary Bul

Meet Hassan

Ignition Accelerator Program Alum

Hassan Qureshi, hailing from Western Sydney, is the founder behind MyClerk, a startup aimed at revolutionizing administrative tasks for allied health professionals. With a background as an exercise physiologist and clinic owner, Hassan identified the inefficiencies within his own workflows and those of his team, leading him to conceptualize MyClerk.

The startup aims to streamline clinical admin processes, ultimately saving time and improving efficiency for practitioners.

“The biggest motivation at the time of applying [for the grant] was that, okay, through the Ignition program I’ll have a pretty good idea of what I want to build, I don’t know how to build it kind of thing”

Hassan Qureshi

For Hassan, the grant represents more than just financial assistance. It symbolizes validation and provides the confidence needed to pursue his vision. With the grant, Hassan planned to engage developers to expedite the development process, enabling him to bring MyClerk to market sooner than anticipated.

Navigating Challenges and Pivots

Despite initial plans to hire developers, Hassan found himself pivoting towards a more hands-on approach to development. Drawing on his industry experience and exposure to technology, he decided to take on a more active role in building the platform himself. This adaptability and willingness to pivot highlight Hassan’s entrepreneurial spirit and determination to see his vision through.

Advice for Aspiring Entrepreneurs

Hassan’s journey offers valuable insights for budding entrepreneurs, particularly those unsure of where to begin. His advice echoes the sentiments of many successful founders: just start. Embrace the process, network, and seek out structured programs or communities that offer support and guidance.

“The biggest thing is like, have a go. I guess it’s probably cliched advice, but it’s one of those things where you don’t know until you give it a go sort of thing.”

Hassan Qureshi

As we look towards the future, Hassan’s goals for MyClerk remain focused on iterative growth and adaptation. With plans to launch the platform in the coming months, Hassan aims to gather feedback, iterate on the product, and navigate the delicate balance between his existing clinic and his burgeoning startup.

Congratulations once again to Hassan Qureshi and MyClerk on their well-deserved success. We look forward to witnessing their continued growth and innovation in the months and years to come.
