Meet the New Advanced Manufacturing Industry Innovation Lead – Dr Anders Hallgren
What is an Industry Innovation lead? What are you seeking to do in your role?
The Industry Innovation Lead role is aimed to support the bridging between the University and industry. I hope to be able to act as a catalyst and enabler for industry collaborations, build shared vision impactful partnerships with industry, assist in research translation and commercialisation and bring exposure and profile to WSU.
What does “Innovation” mean to you?
Innovation means excitement to me but also the hard work down a winding road to make an idea to a product or service that brings value and that somebody would be willing to pay for.
What made you come to Western Sydney University?
The WSU people, their capabilities, commitment and agility.
Tell us something fun about yourself?
I have a 13 year old dog named Billie, who bosses me around.
