Students from Vietnam Win First Place at the Venture Makers Innovation Challenge

On Tuesday 14 July 2022, Western Sydney University’s Launch Pad and technology partner Virbela hosted its second Venture Makers Innovation Challenge Showcase: ‘Welcome to the Metaverse’.

Before the Showcase, international participants spent the day working on the Challenge virtually on the Virbela platform which allowed them to create fun avatars and solve the problem in the Metaverse created specifically for the Challenge in Virbela, while the local participants spent over 8 hours at Launch Pad’s newest home at the Parramatta Engineering Innovation Hub. Thanks to the technology partner, we were able to give our online participants a unique online experience in the Metaverse.

At the end of the Challenge, all the teams finished the day by entering the Pitch Competition where six teams progressed to the final round of judging for the showcase: AquaMeta, Virtualizon, NASA, MemoVerse, The Good Team, and The Three Musketeers.
